Tracey Pemberton

Tracey Pemberton is a researcher and writer who began her career as a performance auditor for state and local governments. After 20 years, she changed the focus of her career and began working in educational services as a subject matter expert, offering research, writing, and editing services to a variety of clients. Tracey lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with her husband, Randy Ward. In addition to being a partner in Locke and Kant, Tracey recently completed a term as the chair of the editorial board for the AGA’s “Journal of Government Financial Management.”

Mike Elmore

Michael (Mike) Elmore lives in Tacoma, Washington and has been in construction management for over 20 years.  Mike spent six years teaching political science in the Tacoma, Washington area. He returned to the construction business in 2018 as an estimator for a large specialty contractor.  Today, he lives in Tacoma with Molly and his furry kids, Cooper and Jeff.  He is a partner in Locke and Kant, LLC where he combines his love for research with trying new things… like being an internet entrepreneur and digital marketer.

Condi

Condi the Burmese Cat was a cherished pet who spent her 17 years demonstrating how to be kind and live independently. From birth, Condi eschewed typical cat behavior and developed a charming personality that won her many friends, including mice! Condi was a role model for kindness, and upcoming Locke & Kant products will include a book based on Condi’s life and the role of kindness in achieving personal success.
